This incident caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
