Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Predictions β€” With Some Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

The first season presents a large cast of personalities living within the afterlife, pits them against each other with songs about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator stated recently. "But I feel like me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the major resolutions β€” but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 moves, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 β€” particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans create a prediction grid about season 2," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
